About Me

Hey, I’m Sophy

Since welcoming little Missy, my beloved Cavapoo into my life, I’ve become completely dog-obsessed. Honestly, they’re the best thing ever.

I founded Tails & Twine to bring together everything I love: flowers, dogs, creativity and hosting all wrapped up in a warm, upbeat world full of thoughtful florals and wagging tails.

Everything I create is done with purpose. Each bouquet, workshop and styling project supports Dogs Trust, which is why I like to think of Tails & Twine as ‘the gift that keeps on wagging.’

From hand-tied dried flower bouquets and tailored home décor, to seasonal workshops and wedding styling, every piece and experience is made with care, character and a sprinkle of country-style magic.

I believe gifting should feel meaningful, workshops should feel like a celebration, and styling should be… well, stylish.

So pull up a chair, grab a cuppa (or a little fizz), and thank you for being here ‘for the love of dogs & flowers.’

Much Love,

Soph & Missy 🐾

What do I offer?

I bring years of hospitality experience, a trained eye for styling, and a reassuring, capable presence, whether I’m creating florals, styling spaces, or hosting hands-on workshops.

My work is rooted in thoughtful design, natural materials, and a strong instinct for how things should look, feel and flow.

From wedding flowers and venue styling to dried flower gift bouquets, home décor and creative experiences, I help turn ideas and visions into something tangible, beautiful and easy to enjoy.

Drawing on a varied background, I blend creativity with organisation, beauty with practicality, making sure everything feels personal, relaxed and intentional from start to finish

Where it all began

2011

My career with Virgin Atlantic inspired my heart-led vision, Hosties for Heroes ‘shaking up a cocktail of mud and glamour’ by taking on tough, fun, muddy challenges in support of Help for Heroes.

By recruiting fellow crew members, I brought my idea to life through daring challenges such as skydiving, wing-walking, and an SAS mission. This extraordinary movement, born from my vision and from the heart, proudly raised over £50,000 for our injured troops and veterans..

2016

After 12 years with Virgin Atlantic, I hung up my wings (briefly). I refreshed my floristry skills, did a couple of lovely weddings… Then got lured straight back into the air as a VIP Flight Attendant. Once a Hostie, always a Hostie!

2017

I was awarded a Points of Light award from then Prime Minister, Theresa May for Hosties for Heroes. I even made her Christmas card list, my mum was beside herself..oh, and #MissionSassy was a hit!

2020

Covid hit, redundancy happened, instead of panicking, I grabbed the chance to level up. I dived into an advanced course with The Wedding Academy and qualified in wedding & event styling, planning and floral design.

2021

A whopper of a year. Missy arrived, teeny, magical, and instantly my partner in crime. I also got married and styled a golden, autumn greenhouse wedding that ended up featured on a couple of major blogs. Casual.

2025

Three years later in North Devon, a handful of workshops, a couple of side jobs, a few more wrinkles, and a big idea to blend my love for dogs and flowers, everything clicked and felt aligned… Tails & Twine was born!

Every creation gives back to Dogs Trust, and I’m honestly buzzing for the adventure that lies ahead ✨

And today, I’m on a mission to make a difference again, no wingwalking this time, simply creating beautiful things with a sense of purpose….magic!
